The US rock band Aerosmith has canceled a series of concerts in Las Vegas because of frontman Steven Tyler’s (74) addiction problems. The rocker had relapsed and went into withdrawal of his own accord, the band announced on Instagram on Tuesday.

Ahead of the scheduled performances, Tyler underwent foot surgery and was taking pain medication, which led to the relapse, the statement said. The musicians are “devastated” to disappoint their fans. They would have to cancel the Las Vegas performances planned for June and July.

As part of the “Deuces Are Wild” show, the band wanted to give two dozen concerts in the casino city from June to December. The fans have now been put off until September.
